Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a physician to provide medical services in the general care and hospital settings.

The physician will deliver high-quality, cost-effective care, and perform history and physical examinations, participating in quality and performance improvement initiatives. You will communicate with referring physicians, patients and families, educate patients, and coordinate care with other professionals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty.
• MD or DO - licensed by the state licensure board within the State of practice.
• Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board.
• Current or recent experience in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen.
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine.
• Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
• Provide regular, timely, and appropriate communication with referring physicians, patients and their families.
• Participates in education of patients and their families.
• Coordinates patient care and makes referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, et cetera, as needed.
