Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to provide a safe and welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors and staff. You will perform patrols, access-control, respond to emergencies, and document incidents in line with post orders and hospital policies.

This role emphasizes compassionate, family-centered service with strong de-escalation skills and the ability to use security technology and reporting tools. Prior hospital security is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in hospital security preferred.
• Customer service oriented and able to handle stressful situations.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or emergency services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to identify safety hazards and security concerns.
• Operate hospital vehicles when assigned and authorized.
• Maintain posts and ensure access-control and documentation are up to date.
• Provide compassionate assistance and information to patients, families, and staff.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and assist with de-escalation when needed.
• Support emergency operations and enforce hospital policies.
