Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee medication distribution within their area and ensure drug therapy is appropriate, effective, safe, and convenient for patients.

The role includes preventing and resolving drug therapy problems, training interns and residents, and precepting student pharmacists. The position requires PA licensure and completion of a PGY2 or equivalent residency pathway, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Residency in PGY2 with 2+ years of relevant experience OR PGY1 with 4+ years; or 7+ years with no residency.
• Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania; Board Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the distribution of medications within their area.
• Identifies, prevents and resolves drug therapy problems for patients.
• Ensures adherence to hospital formulary and policies.
• Trains interns, technicians, residents and new pharmacists.
• Precepts student pharmacists and pharmacy residents.
