Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–5 years’ work experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in training, coordinating and scheduling staff or volunteers desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care volunteers to meet patient and family needs.
• Identify and recruit patient care volunteers with the Volunteer Program manager.
• Arrange volunteer placement for each appropriate patient and document activities in patient records.
• Maintain the volunteer plan of care in the electronic health record.
• Ensure volunteer standards comply with state and federal regulations and confidentiality.
