Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units. This role includes monitoring supplies, transcribing orders to the EMR, and strong communication with patients, visitors, and staff.

The HUC will be a resource to the care team, contribute to continuous improvement, and adapt to varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college/HUC program preferred.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations; flexible hours.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and keyboarding

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units.
• Monitor and order supplies and transcribe orders to the EMR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff.
• Support the healthcare team and participate in continuous improvement.
