Mayo Clinic is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to provide essential organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units. You will monitor supplies, assist with communications, and help maintain efficient patient flow across teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred HUC certification or vocational training, strong customer service, and the ability to adapt to dynamic clinical environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of college, HUC vocational program, or HUC Certification preferred.
• Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Adapts effectively to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills (Windows-based applications, LAN, intranet) required.

Responsibilities

• The HUC provides organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team, monitors supplies, and may transcribe orders to the EMR and other devices.
