Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units and the healthcare team. The role includes monitoring supplies, transcribing orders to EMR, and facilitating communication across care settings.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a HUC program or certification. Ability to work evenings/nights and weekends is required; strong computer and keyboarding skills are

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
HUC vocational program or HUC Certification preferred.
Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to unpredictable patient care settings and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

Provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units and healthcare team.
Monitor and order supplies; may transcribe orders to the EMR and other communication devices.
Communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff; support continuum of care.
