Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Unit Clerk to perform essential clerical duties on the unit under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. You will transcribe orders, organize patient charts, and ensure timely communication among care teams to support patient flow and care delivery.

In this role you will assist with admissions/discharges, data collection, and daily unit operations while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• CNA/CMA/EMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes physician orders accurately.
• Assembles and maintains patient records.
• Handles desk communications and routing messages promptly.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKG lead placement and respiratory support.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and safety standards.
