Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to support the Patient Care Unit under the Charge Nurse. You will assist with care plans, provide clerical and records support, and help maintain a safe, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of typing test is required.
• Experience with medical terminology or Health Unit Coordinator training is required.
• Current BLS certification and related safety training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with age-appropriate plan of care through tasks delegated by the RN.
• Provide clerical support and unit-based medical records duties.
• Coordinate unit needs and maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Attend to patient care needs under RN supervision.
