Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a part-time Telemetry Unit aide for Day shift in Scottsdale, AZ. The role involves patient care tasks under supervision, including ADLs, vital signs, and documentation, with weekend and holiday rotations required and shift differentials where applicable.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of healthcare experience, with BLS certification required and CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver, including personal care, ADLs, vital signs, intake/output, ambulation, and care plan implementation.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition and maintains accurate medical record documentation.
• Answers questions from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members; coordinates with the health care team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is a part-time Day shift working with 2-12 hour shifts from 6:00 AM–6:30 PM.

We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
• Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
• Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED Required

EXPERIENCE

• Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
• 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred
• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Emergency Medical Tech Preferred
