10 John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Night shift telemetry patient care assistant for the Cardiopulmonary Telemetry Unit (CPTU). You’ll assist with routine patient care, monitor vital signs, and document changes under supervision of licensed staff.

Primary City/State: John C Lincoln - 250 E Dunlap Ave Phoenix, AZ 85020 Category: Healthcare Support Shift: Night Department: Telemetry Unit-2E-Cardiac & Pulmonary Care Join a specialized Cardiopulmonary Telemetry Unit (CPTU) caring for a diverse patient population, including telemetry patients, pulmonary hypertension patients, chronic stable ventilator patients, and thoracic surgery and lung cancer surgical patients recovering from procedures such as lobectomies and lung mass removals. This unit offers a unique opportunity to gain experience with a specialized pulmonary hypertension program and is especially appealing to those interested in growing their skills in cardiac and pulmonary care. PCTs play an important role in supporting the care team, with typical assignments of approximately 10 patients per PCT, which may increase to up to 16 patients depending on census and staffing needs.

This position is a full-time Night shift working 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 PM–6:30 AM. We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable.

JOB SUMMARY Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse. Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered. Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred
