Abington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinical supervision. You will collaborate with the interprofessional team to address physiological, emotional, and social needs and support telehealth encounters between patients and providers.

The role requires strong communication, safety-mindedness, and the ability to manage basic medical tasks.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope.
• Knowledge of personal care and hygiene for quality of life.
• Understanding of risks in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with patients, families and staff.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinical team members.

• Provides assistance in maintaining supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates patient needs, and responds to call lights promptly.
• May be assigned the role of a virtual safety associate as needed based on campus needs.
• May facilitate clinical exams under distant provider direction using peripheral devices and telehealth software.
