Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical staff at Albert Einstein Medical Center. The role supports telehealth encounters and collaborates with the clinical team to address patient needs.

The PCT will maintain safety, assist with supplies, and participate in patient rounds while leveraging Epic and Vidyo technology to facilitate virtual care as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care in an interprofessional team.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope.
• Understanding of safety and infection control in healthcare.
• BLS certification by AHA required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinical team members.
• Actively promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Provides assistance in maintaining supplies and equipment available to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds as assigned, anticipates patient needs, and responds to patient call light or pages promptly.
• May be assigned the role of a virtual safety associate as needed based on campus needs.
• May facilitate remote clinical exams and telehealth encounters using peripheral devices and telehealth software.
