Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care within an interprofessional team.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within the scope of role.
• Knowledge of personal care and hygiene for quality of life and patient support.
• Awareness of risks in a healthcare environment and steps to reduce them.
• Ability to respectfully engage with patients, families and staff.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks under licensed supervision.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, and responds to calls promptly.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as campus needs require.
