Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of safety risks in healthcare and how to reduce them.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with diverse patients, families and care partners.
• Knowledge of how to collaborate with interprofessional teams and telehealth platforms.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as virtual safety associate as needed; may support telehealth exams with remote providers.
