Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team in providing hands-on care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You will assist with daily needs, monitor patient conditions, and help carry out care plans under RN supervision.

The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and attention to detail to restore comfort and dignity for every patient served. This position is on-site at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/CPR) required within 30 days of start date
• CNA certification or equivalent education must be obtained within 60 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support recovery
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, stocked, and organized to maintain safety
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
