Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Anesthesia Technician for PRN shifts to support the anesthesia and surgical teams. You will help prepare equipment, set up carts, assist with patient transfers, and maintain a safe environment throughout procedures.

The role emphasizes quick response to emergencies, infection control, and clear communication with patients and families while protecting patient privacy.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Six months to 1 year in a health care setting preferred.
• Experience in respiratory or surgical setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need.
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use.
• Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices.
• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens.
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices.
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights.
