Mercy is hiring a Patient Care Tech to assist with individualized patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN. You will work as part of a collaborative team, performing clinical procedures and support tasks essential to patient wellness.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare career program.
• Experience: None required.
• For PCT: Mercy provides a 175-hour training program during new hire orientation to meet state requirements, completed within 90 days.
• Preferred Experience: EMT, Paramedic or Previous Patient Care Experience.
• Preferred Certifications: CNA, EMT, AUA, CPCT.
• Minimum Physical Requirements: ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing/walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, squat.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient's highest level of wellness.
• Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals.
• Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.
