Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician for PCU 3NS in Latrobe, PA. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN supervision and supports daily living activities and patient comfort.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, solid communication, and ability to follow directions. A sign-on bonus of $2,000 is offered and travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education.
• Sound judgment, problem solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to follow directions from other team members; works independently assigned duties.
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols and standards of care.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient care needs as directed.
• Respond to call lights, inquiries and requests from patients and families in a timely manner.
• Collect, document and report ongoing patient care data as directed.
• Measure and document intake and output, including daily weights when indicated.
• Transport patients as directed.
