Job summary

Independence Health System Inc. is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician for PCU/Oncology 3DE. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN in a part-time capacity at Greensburg, PA.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, responding to patient needs, documenting care data, and supporting infection control and safety procedures. A Nurse Aide program or related training plus a current BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or higher.
• Good judgment, problem solving, strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions from team members and work independently when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Respond to call lights and inquiries from patients and families promptly.
• Document and report patient data and care needs to the supervising nurse.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards.
