Job summary

Avera St Mary's Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join a multidisciplinary team delivering routine patient care under nurse or physician direction. Responsibilities include ambulating, assisting with feeding and daily activities, monitoring patient needs, documenting into the computer system, and coordinating with departments involved in patient care.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, CNA certification, ability to work rotating shifts, and being at least 18

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, direct patient care including ambulating, bathing, positioning, and assisting with daily activities.
• Assists with meals, feeding, and documentation of diet and intake in the computer system.
• Responds to patient call lights, attends to patient needs, and assists with transfer and mobility.
• Greets visitors, answers inquiries, runs department errands, and communicates effectively with the care team.
• Maintains patient rooms, restocks supplies, and coordinates with other departments as needed.
