Job summary

Avera Milbank Area Hospital is seeking a CNA to provide routine patient care and support services under nurse or physician direction. Responsibilities include ambulating patients, assisting with meals, and ensuring patient comfort and safety in a compassionate team setting.

The role requires CNA certification or eligibility, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work rotating days/evenings/nights and weekends. PTO and retirement options are offered, with a commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, entering diet information into the computer system, passing meal trays, feeding and attending to other care needs.
• Responds promptly to patient call lights and special needs, ensures patient valuables and personal items are properly handled and accounted for.
• Greets all persons in the area, answers inquiries, direct and assist visitors, relays messages, assists with gifts, flowers and mail, runs errands for department staff.
• Ambulates patients, assists in and out of wheelchairs, measures intakes/outputs, may collect specimens and transport patients.
• Answers telephone, operates paging system, attends station and directs traffic during emergencies.
