Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Central Kentucky in Danville, KY is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for PRN/Per Diem with 12-hour day and night shifts. The role focuses on compassionate patient care as part of a dedicated inpatient post-ICU team in a critical illness recovery hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience).
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA or related field preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less products.
• Provide oral hygiene and oral feeding care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments, bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
