MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is the state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and the only pediatric hospital in Washington's South Sound Region dedicated to a comprehensive network of health services for children and adolescents. FTE: 0.75 Shift: Nights Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends

Position Summary

The Patient Care Technician is an ideal opportunity for those seeking a dynamic and comprehensive role within our health care system. By covering nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions, you will support exceptional patient health outcomes.

In this role, you will hone your clerical and communication skills, develop age-appropriate nursing care expertise, and collaborate to support patient care and services.

Responsibilities

  • You will perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital
  • You will assist in basic nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions
  • Apply your strong interpersonal skills when providing care for patients across a diverse spectrum of ethnic and social groups
  • Collaborate with healthcare practitioners or registered nurses for comprehensive quality care

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible (must apply within seven days of hire)
  • Must obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within sixty days of hire
  • Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure
  • Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible (listed twice, should be clarified or removed)
  • MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Recent bedside care experience in a healthcare environment

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The pay scale ranges from $22.70 to $37.51 USD, influenced by factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and education. If this position is unionized, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale based on years of experience.
