The role you’ll contribute:

Assist patients with activities of daily living, perform patient care tasks, and maintain a safe and clean environment. Complete tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida State Board of Nursing.

• Perform patient care tasks safely and competently, adhering to standards of care.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement PCT care based on individual patient needs.
• Coordinate care with RN and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Recognize changes in patient status and report immediately to RN/LPN.
• Maintain complete and timely documentation of care provided.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences needed to succeed:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Entry Level - Maintains current Florida certification and PCT educational requirements as per organizational checklists.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or proof of competency required upon hire.
• A new hire may begin employment if the facility can facilitate the successful completion of the AHA BLS program prior to patient contact, via web-based training with voice-assisted manikin skills check-off (e.g., Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Program or Heartcode) or instructor-led training.
• Florida Department of Health (DOH) License required.
