Responsibilities
  • 0-25% Travel Requirement
  • Taking patient history and vital signs
  • Performing basic testing or screenings (vision, audio, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, pulmonary testing)
  • Performing phlebotomy for laboratory samples
  • Completing paperwork and computer work for lab tests
  • Performing point of care testing (strep, mono, glucose, influenza, pregnancy, urinalysis, blood glucose)
  • Maintaining sterile techniques and sterilization procedures
  • Scheduling and coordinating records for ancillary care
  • Assisting providers with exams and testing
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
  • Ensuring equipment is operational
  • Logging procedures and processing paperwork
  • Maintaining examination rooms and supplies
  • Ensuring smooth patient flow
  • Handling registration, explaining insurance and pricing, collecting payments
  • Assisting with documentation and transcription
  • Supporting provider efficiency
  • Greeting and registering patients
  • Managing phone calls and triage
  • Taking payments and handling reports
  • Other front desk and cleaning duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ability to follow written instructions and work standards
  • Effective communication with staff, patients, families
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, move equipment, and transfer patients
  • Computer skills, including EMR and patient registration
  • Up-to-date on injections and OSHA documentation
  • CPR certification
  • Strong listening, note-taking, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Teamwork and customer service orientation
  • Ability to manage high call volume
  • Physical capacity for lifting up to 50 pounds
