Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN supervision. Candidates should be enrolled in an approved nursing program with a high school diploma or GED. BLS certification within one month of hire is required; EMT/paramedic or prior patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and enrolled in an approved nursing program.
• BLS certification within one month of hire.
• Preferred: EMT, Paramedic or previous patient care experience.
• Nursing student status required while in role.

Responsibilities

• Assist under RN or LPN in individualized patient care to promote wellness.
• Work cooperatively with team and participate in clinical procedures and nonclinical tasks.
• Provide patient care support as a Nurse Tech.
• Maintain competency skills list and transcripts from nursing program.
