Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in Springfield, MO is seeking a Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician. The role provides opportunities for advancement through a career ladder to PCT and beyond.

Training is provided through an accredited apprenticeship program, with a 175-hour initial program if no prior experience and BLS within 1 month. The position supports RN or LPN supervision, handles vital signs, basic patient care tasks, and clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or enrolled in a healthcare program.
• CNA/CPTC preferred but not required.
• No prior experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document in EMR.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• For PCT: phlebotomy, enteral feeding, wound care, IV/ Foley removal, suctioning.
