Patient Care Technician - Rehabilitation Unit - Evenings

Position Details

• Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32
• Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago
• Full Time, 32 hours/week, Evening shift (3p-11:30p), every other weekend and rotating holidays required

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse Manager
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members
• Use standard precautions and personal protective equipment appropriately
• Assist with patient hygiene, elimination needs, and nutritional support
• Prepare patient rooms for admissions and assist with patient transfers and vital signs
• Document patient information accurately in EMR
• Follow safety policies, perform patient rounding, and assist with mobility and range of motion exercises
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
• Perform ECGs, manage supplies, and assist with patient admissions and discharges

Minimum Requirements

• CNA certification or completion of an accredited nursing assistant training, or equivalent experience
• CPR certification (American Heart Association)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Effective communication and organizational skills
