Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Winchester is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the Nurse FLOAT role. The position is full-time with nights and a schedule of three 12-hour shifts, supporting an active Medical Surgical Unit and collaborating with RN staff to deliver patient-centered care.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS within 30 days of hire, and preferred experience with SRNA/EMT certification. Certification in Handle with Care is also required within 30 days and yearly thereafter.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• SRNA or EMT preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire and annually.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Support nurses with basic patient care tasks and clinical procedures as directed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
• Provide compassionate patient interaction while ensuring comfort and addressing basic needs
