Job summary

Community Health Systems in Vicksburg, MS is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) for night shifts. You will provide patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, support meals, mobility, hygiene, and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

0-2 years in acute care or enrollment in a nursing program is preferred; BCLS within 90 days of hire is required; CNA or CPCT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records vital signs, height, weight, oxygen saturation, intake/output.
• Supports meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility, including use of walkers or wheelchairs.
• Performs glucose monitoring via finger sticks and reports results to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Ensures effective communication within the care team and adherence to safety protocols.
