Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medicine Unit 6. This full-time, night-shift position supports nursing staff and helps with patient care, admissions, and discharge under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Eligible certifications include CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, Navy Hospital Corps School, or EMS/EMT/AEMT. Prior health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

City/StateVirginia Beach, VAWork ShiftThird (Nights)Overview:Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, on Medicine Unit 6.Hours/Shift:Full-time, nightshift, approximately 7pm to 7amDepartment/Position Overview:Our patient population in our 20-bed unit is diverse and includes but is not limited to CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Diabetes, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis with Surgical Intervention, Wound Care, and varying disease processes.Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff members who are accountable to, and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care. Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse.
