Job summary

Ascension in Luling, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Med Surg team for full-time day shifts. You will assist with patient mobility, daily living activities, and maintain safety. You will document changes and reports, keep equipment clean, and support a respectful, compassionate care environment.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Patient Mobility & Positioning: Facilitate safe patient transfers, movement and positioning to maximize comfort while supporting physical rehabilitation goals.
• Daily Living Assistance: Deliver compassionate, high-quality care by assisting patients with essential activities of daily living and personal hygiene needs.
• Clinical Reporting & Documentation: Monitor patient well-being to promptly report physical, mental or emotional changes to nursing staff while maintaining precise clinical records.
• Environment & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure a clean, organized and hygienic environment while managing medical equipment to guarantee optimal safety compliance.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

• CNA certifications with clinical experience strongly desired
