Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital, part of Memorial Health, is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the 4E Orthopedics unit. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on helping patients regain strength with mobility support, vital-sign monitoring, and compassionate care to support recovery.

A CNA, nursing student with clinicals, or two years of nursing assistant experience is required, CPR certification or onboarding, and on-site work in a hospital setting is expected.

Qualifications

• One of the following is required: CNA, enrollment in nursing school with one semester of clinicals completed, or two years of nursing assistant experience.
• CPR certification required or obtained during onboarding.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with mobility and daily activities.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Provide compassionate care on the 4E Orthopedics unit and support recovery.

Full time, Day shift, 6:45am - 7:15pm, Every 3rd weekend. Support patients through surgical and non surgical orthopedic recovery and essential care.

Patient Care Technician (PCT) Role

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the 4E Orthopedics unit at Springfield Memorial Hospital, you’ll help patients regain strength and independence. From mobility support to monitoring vital signs, you’ll play a key role in recovery and healing on a unit that values teamwork, precision and compassion.

Education, Licensures & Certifications

One of the following is required:

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
• Enrollment in nursing school with one (1) semester of clinicals completed
• Two (2) years of relevant experience in a nursing assistant role
• CPR certification required or obtained during onboarding

Experience

• Experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Strong observational skills and ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition

Pay Transparency $16.77 - $25.99. Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
