Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a patient-care oriented CNA/GNA to provide direct patient care on the day shift. You will take vital signs, assist with ADLs, perform blood draws and specimen collection, and communicate patient status to the care team.

You must hold Maryland CNA or GNA certification and a current BLS card; an ideal candidate has at least one year of experience. This role supports the interdisciplinary team in achieving safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Maryland CNA or GNA certification is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• One year of previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs and assists with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Performs blood draws/venipuncture and collects specimens.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients as needed.
• Communicates patient status and data to the care team to identify needs.
