The Patient Care Technician II assists the nursing staff by performing assigned duties under RN supervision, including secretarial tasks and NA II skills, and ensuring excellent patient service across units.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nurses Aide I certification listed with Division of Facility Services and Nurses Aide II certification by NC Board of Nursing.
• Some understanding of medical terminology.
• At least 1 year of experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Ability to organize confidential clerical responsibilities and patient care.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients, families, physicians, staff, and others.
• Knowledge of growth and development over the life span and age-specific care.
• Deliver outstanding customer service per CarolinaEast Standards of Excellence.
