Job summary

CarolinaEast Health System is seeking a Patient Care Tech I to support the nursing staff by performing assigned duties for patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Nurses Aide I certificate, and familiarity with medical terminology. Prior acute care experience is preferred. CarolinaEast emphasizes excellent patient care and a team-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency (GED accepted).
• Nurses Aide I certificate listed with the North Carolina Department of Facilities Services.
• Some understanding of medical terminology.
• At least one year of experience in an acute care setting; unit secretary or Nurse Aide I preferred.
• Able to organize confidential clerical responsibilities and patient care amid interruptions and changing priorities.
• Maintain current AHA BLS certification.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities
