Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 6 months experience in a healthcare related field or active nursing program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with ambulating and mobilization of patients.
• Records vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respirations, O2 sat).
• Assists with hygiene, bedpan/toileting, and meal support.
• Maintains supplies and unit organization.
• Receives calls, acts as department receptionist, and coordinates communication.
• Documents data and uses electronic health record applications.
• Transfers/discharges patients and notifies relevant areas.
• Collaborates with nursing staff to meet unit goals.
