Job summary

Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for ICU/CCU. This full-time role supports licensed nurses, takes vital signs, assists with ADLs, and helps maintain a safe patient environment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Schedule: Full Time

Pay Range: $19.00 - $25.00 / Hourly

Shift: Day/Eve shift

Hours: 7-7p

Reporting to the Nursing Manager, the Patient Care Technician works under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel to assist with essential patient care tasks. Care is delivered in accordance with the philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Services Department, as well as all hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.

This role is ideal for individuals interested in building experience in acute care, medical-surgical units, nursing support, or healthcare careers.

What You'll Do
  • Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
  • Assisting patients with basic care needs and activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Supporting nurses with patient comfort and care tasks
  • Observing and communicating patient needs to licensed nursing staff
  • Maintaining a safe and organized patient care environment
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients and families
  • Documenting information using electronic medical record systems

Minimum Qualifications
Education

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

Minimum one year of acute care experience or medical-surgical clinical experience preferred

Licensure & Certification
  • BLS Certification - Healthcare Provider required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
