Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA, invites qualified Patient Care Technicians to join our ICU team on the night shift. You will perform unlicensed patient care under the supervision of a nurse, assist with admissions and discharges, and monitor patients’ conditions with a focus on safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma and relevant CNA/NCPCT/NCMA or military medical training, plus ICU experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required or equivalent.
• Must have one of: Sentara Care Partner Certification Program; CNA; NCMA; NCPCT; US Navy Hospital Corps School; EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic.
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program (RN/LPN/RT/PT) who has completed at least one semester.
• Experience within last 3 years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.

• Observe and report changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions.

Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.93 - $27.41 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
