Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a nursing support role to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. The position includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vitals and documenting in the electronic medical record, with emphasis on patient safety and hygiene.

Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma, basic math and computer skills, and may be enrolled in an ASN/BSN program.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide, obtain or perform and document direct patient care activities (ADLs, vitals, glucose monitoring, I&O).
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges and transfers under RN supervision.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Support unit routine tasks like supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
