Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care on the inpatient unit under RN supervision, performing ADLs, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with transfers and documentation in the electronic medical record.

The role emphasizes patient dignity, privacy, communication, time management, and adherence to hospital policies, with training, CPR, and background checks required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 weeks of training for new hires.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Direct patient care: ADLs, vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, I&O, glucose testing, documentation.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives; bedside shift reports; hourly rounding; falls prevention; hand washing.
• Documents vital signs, weights, I&O, treatments; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Assists with unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
