Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, maintain a safe and organized care environment, and support effective communication within the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Records vital signs and patient data, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility assistance.
• Positions and mobilizes patients using mobility aids.
• Collects urine/stool samples and performs glucose monitoring.
• Maintains infection control protocols and PPE usage.
• Participates in performance improvement and safety initiatives.
