Job summary

Community Health Network in Anderson, IN seeks a Senior Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include bathing, assistance with elimination, bed making, and taking vital signs, as well as patient transport and greeting and orienting patients to the care area.

You will assist with meals, collaborate with the care team, and perform additional select care tasks.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to collaborate with others in a team setting and have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to use a computer for documentation and work-related purposes.
  • Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own actions.
  • Provides service in a willing and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
  • Able to take direction well, but also be self-directed and motivated.
  • Requires a high degree of responsibility and responsiveness.
  • Deal effectively with patients, visitors, situations, and other Care Team members.

The Senior Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Performs direct patient care such as bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and vital signs. Transports patients and patient‑related materials in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Greets and orients patients to the patient care area. Performs meal service and feeding assistance functions. Provides additional select care to patients. Collaborates with other team members to perform other services as directed.

  • Must be available for one week of full-time training
  • Three (3) months of Clinical Experience or CNA license required OR currently enrolled in Nursing school PCT, CNA, Patient Care Tech,
