Job summary

Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will follow an established plan of care and comply with hospital policies.

Responsibilities include direct bedside care, activities of daily living, mobility assistance, treatments, and documentation in the medical record. You will support unit operations and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA preferred; EMT/Medical Assistant considered; GUH training program required.
• 1-2 years CNA or related acute care experience preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient care plan under RN direction.
• Provides bedside care including ADLs and mobility assistance.
• Performs routine treatments and venipuncture, wound care, IV tasks.
• Records information in medical records per guidelines.
• Participates in quality improvement and unit objectives.
