Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program preferred.
• EMT Medical Assistant will be considered.
• Successful completion of GUH training program required.

Responsibilities

• Implements patients' plan of care as directed by the RN and reports findings.
• Provides direct bedside care including activities of daily living and mobility assistance.
• Performs routine sterile and non-sterile treatments per unit policy.
• Participates in patient/family teaching as directed.
• Records information in the medical record or via systems per guidelines.
• Maintains a safe and orderly patient/unit environment.
• Relieves Unit Secretary as needed and assists with stocking and supplies.
• Contributes to unit objectives and quality improvement initiatives.
