Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant.
• AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent is required/licensure.
• Minimum qualifications include CNA, Medical Assistant, EMT, Military Corpsman/Medic, Nursing Aide Training, or healthcare experience.
• Or completion of foundations/clinical nursing course with one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and direct care to patients in their assigned unit and monitor conditions.
• Maintain safe, clean, stocked environment to facilitate patient care.
• Record patient information, vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical data.
• Assist with specimen collection for diagnostics as needed.
• Attend mandatory trainings and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and report concerns to RN or supervisor.
• Establish rapport with patients and families; communicate effectively with the health care team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
