Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, promoting safe, efficient care and patient throughput. This role supports nursing staff and maintains a clean, stocked environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, documenting care, and participating in performance improvement and required education. High school diploma preferred with BCLS required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• BCLS certification required; SRNA/EMT preferred.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to learn and complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Monitor vital signs and record intake/output.
• Observe and report abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe patient rooms and common areas.
• Manage the tech desk and support department throughput.
• Document care and activities per unit standards.
• Participate in performance improvement and required education.
