Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to work under RN supervision in a hospital setting, performing basic patient care activities, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living to promote patient throughput.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, SRNA/EMT preferred, and BCLS certification; strong communication in English and ability to navigate multiple software systems are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• SRNA or EMT preferred.
• BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (read/write/speak).

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Observes and reports abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintains clean, safe, and stocked patient rooms and common areas.
• Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
