Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) Apprentice to join our hospital team. This role supports patient care under supervision and may transition to a full PCT after completing the apprenticeship. A strong bedside manner and teamwork are essential.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of CNA/MA/PCT programs or equivalent medical background (EMT, Home Health Aide, CMA). Certification in Phlebotomy or EKG is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Completion of CNA/MA/PCT program or Fundamentals of Nursing.
• Equivalent medical background (EMT, Home Health Aide, CMA, MA, PCT, Nursing Assistant).
• Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, patient-focused care and ongoing education.
• If selected, enter the HMH PCT Apprentice Program and transfer to Patient Care Technician upon completion.
• Phlebotomy and EKG experience or certification preferred.
• PCT/CNA hospital experience preferred; EMT, CMA or MA background acceptable.
